30 Again....

Or as my husbands reminds me 30 + 5 = 30 Again Right? ;)
  In the last few months I have had time to sit and reflect on the good, bad, and ugly of the last 5 years of my life.  But I feel like I have learned and changed the most in the last year!  I've learned to let go of the ugly and embrace all the wonderful in my life!  I have so much to be thankful for....

I married my best friend!  A man that loves me for ME!  A man that loves MY son as his own!  A man that is the best father/husband possible at all times!  He's not perfect but I wouldn't change him for anything!

We have been on some amazing vacations!

I had a baby boy!  A BIG baby boy 10 lbs 9 oz 22" long!  Peyton Thomas you have been one of the greatest gifts I have ever been blessed with!  Your SMART, funny, witty, HANDSOME, silly, lovable, stubborn, and a amazing brother! And I love you more than whatever you say ;)

I was blessed with a Daughter!  Miss.Ella Grace you filled the missing piece in my heart!  You have made me and our family whole!  The love we have for you is like no other!  She truly are the most amazing little girl!  You are so smart, sweet, lovable, beautiful, stubborn (see a pattern here;) funny, silly, sassy pea around!

I started a small business!  And it's successful!!!  I'm able to work from home and be here for all my little's!

Ella Grace's birth story

On June 6, 2012 we left for the hospital at 5am.  On the drive there was talked about how excited we were to meet our little girl, who at this point still did not have a name.  We wondered if she would look like Peyton?  Me? or Daddy?  Maybe Mitchel?

Once we arrived to my room, Scott took this picture.  The last picture before meeting our baby girl!  The nerves started to set in as the nurses started asking questions and preping for my c-section.  While one of the amazing nurses Deb was asking all the questions, she asked if we had a name.  Insert :/ side eye at Scott.  She laughed and asked what name I liked?

She she "OH I LOVE THAT NAME!!"  Scott smiled and said I think that will be her name.  Thank you Deb for helping Scott see the name was just perfect for our sweet girl!

At 7:30am we headed to the OR.  I didn't feel scared up til this point!  Once I entered the OR I had couldn't stop shaking and it was very hard to hold back the tears.  I was so excited to meet my daughter but the fears of something going wrong entered my mind.  I couldn't help but worry about it and not being there for my boys or her.  Once the spinal was done, it was easier to claim down.  Before I knew it Scott was by my side and my AMAZING Dr. VanRiper was ready.

She stopped crying as soon as they brought her over to me.  It was priceless!

While the doctors closed me up, Ella had her bath and Daddy held her.  Once they were done we headed back to my room to enjoy some one on one time with our sweet baby girl!  This time around I was able to hold Ella in bed with me as they rolled me back to my room.  It was so nice to have her right away!  I was not able to do that with Peyton.

Peyton was a little unsure about "AWWW Baby sister" at first.  But he is such a big brother.  They are going to be best friends and partners in crime!

Mitchel was the first to hold her.  He has been waiting a long time for his little sister!  He is so helpful and just loves her to pieces!

Grandma Catherine came to visit!  She was so happy to finally meet you!  She loves you all so much!

Here you are under lights at 4 days old for what we thought was just a bad case of jundice. We were in the hospital another day before finding out you have Galactosmia. 

Galactosemia is a genetic disorder that is characterized by the patient’s inability to metabolize sugar (galactose) into glucose. Glucose is readily usable by the body but galactose needs an enzyme called GALT to turn it into a sugar that the body can use. In nearly all people with this condition the body lacks the enzyme that is used in this process.

When it is not broken down, the galactose remains in the body and the levels build up. Higher levels of galactose can act as a poison and have serious consequences for the health of the patient. Poor mental and physical growth and serious liver and kidney problems are just a few of the possible effects of this disorder.

It was a very scary few days but you are a little fighter!  After a few very long days and nights in the NICU you were able to come home!!  This was one of the happiest days of our life!

You are the sweetest little girl I know Ella Grace!  I love you so much, you make my heart feel complete, and I feel so very lucky to call you my daughter!  I am looking forward to watching you grow up and become an amazing young lady!

 

Wow!  I can't believe how long it has been since my last post!  Alot has happened since then...

Mitchel is going to be 9 years old in a month!  I can't believe it!!  He is growing into such an amazing young man!  He is so smart, thoughtful, loving, caring, funny, handsome little boy!  I am so proud to be this Momma!

Peyton is going to be THREE in July!  The last 3 year has flew by!  He is the apple of my eye!  He is very much a Momma's boy!  He is also a character!!  He knows his ABC's, can count to 15, loves to sing (Twinkle Twinkle little star is his fav), he has a LOVE for cars,trucks,bus,and all heavy equipment.  I really have never seen a little boy that loves cars more than he does.  He can even tell you what type of car goes by.  Whether it is a Jeep, Ford, Dodge Ram, you get the point :) 

His "L" words are said as "Y" yove, yike, yeve me along Mitchel!  I Yove it!  He melts my heart everyday!

In other big news...We are about to have a LITTLE GIRL in a few short weeks!  I cannot wait to meet her!  She already looks so cute and has TONS of hair!  I have a feeling she will be a big girl like her big brother was.  Their sono pics look so much alike! 

She still doesn't have a name and it is possible that she won't have one until we have to leave the hospital!  Both of thought 200%  she was a boy and never thought of girl names.  We also have a hard time agreeing on a name that both of us like.  Wish her luck :)

How Far Along? 35 weeks...4 weeks to go!

Size? She's a little coconut this week :)

Maternity Clothes? Umm, yes for a long time now!

Weight Gain? 24 lbs.

Stretch Marks? No new ones.  But Peyton did a number on me...Hope not to get any new ones...fingers crossed!

Gender? Baby Girl!!

Sleep? Depends on the night.  Some nights are good but the last few have been terrible!

Movement? She is a dancing queen at all hours!

Food Cravings? Oranges, apples, soft ice cream, PB&J

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope

Labor signs? No, but there have been some days I over do it and have lots of contractions at night.

Belly button in or out?  Almost all the way out.

Wedding rings, on or off?  Off :( 

What I Miss? Painting my toes lol

Symptoms? heartburn, exhaustion, some anxiety, swelling of the hands and feet

Happy or Moody? I am a bit cranky some days...

Best Moment of the Week?  Peyton reading to his baby sister <3

Today you are 7 years old! I cannot believe how fast these 7 years have gone by. Before you know it you will be 17 and I will be saying the say thing! I just want to you know how amazing I think you are!! You are so smart, kind, handsome, funny, helpful, loving, caring, and sweet! Did I say FUNNY! You really are one of the funniest little boys I have ever met!!! (I'm not just saying that because you are my Mitchie;) If you have grown to get this amazing in 7 short years, I am really looking forward to seeing the kind of young man you will become.

Hello everyone,

It's been awhile since I updated. This is a very busy time of year for us! Below are pictures of our AMAZING vacation we took last month. It truly was the most magical vacation I have ever been on!! I feel so blessed to have the chance to take the boys to Disney!

Above are picture from Mitchel's dance show from over the weekend. He did AMAZING!!! I'm so flipping proud of him!!!!

I will be updating next week with Peyton's 9 month appointment. He's a little late on his check~up because I didn't want him to be sick for our trip.

4 Years ago today...

4 years ago today Scott and I meet for the first time, after many hours of chatting. Neither of us were looking for anything serious. Just someone to talk to and go places with when we had free time.
When Scott got out of his car my first thought was "JACK POT!!!" Here comes this tall, tan, built, handsome man walking up to my door...for me? Really? To this day I am still not sure how I got so lucky! He is more than the man I dreamed for!!

And after a few months of dating I brought Mitchel into the picture to see how things would go...they were and still are two peas in a pod! Mitchel liked him from day one! And well, Scott has been putty in his hands since then too :)

We moved in together faster than I planned Oct 2006. Not even a year after dating! Most everyone thought I was NUTS! But I knew I was doing the right thing for me and Mitchel.

And it turns out it was the best thing I ever did!

On Nov 17, 2008 we found out we would be adding to our little family...a little brother for Mitchel!
